The Smart Plan for Hamilton

Hamilton has enormous potential. But too many Hamiltonians are frustrated with the direction of our city. They want safer communities, better roads and infrastructure, a City Hall that listens and delivers real value for their tax dollars.

Keanin Loomis’ SMART Plan is a plan to restore confidence in City Hall and build a better Hamilton.

SMART stands for Safety, Mobility, Accountability, Responsive City Hall and Taxpayer Respect.

Five priorities. One clear standard: get the basics right, deliver results and put residents first.

THE SMART PLAN TO MOVE HAMILTON FORWARD

Safety

BUILDING STRONGER NEIGHBOURHOODS AND SAFER COMMUNITIES

  • Build safer neighbourhoods through coordinated community safety initiatives and responses to homelessness, mental health and public disorder.
  • Improve road safety by prioritizing repairs, safer intersections, school zones and traffic calming.
  • Restore confidence in Hamilton's downtown through enhanced public safety, cleaner public spaces and stronger community partnerships.
